Iran concert-cum-play ‘Si’ to be on stage for 7 more nights

Multimedia concert ‘Si’ performed by Iran traditional vocalist Homayoun Shajarian has been extended for another seven nights.

Local media reported on Tuesday the concert being performed by classical vocalist Homayoun Shajarian at the Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran was stretched for seven nights following success in first round of performances.

Titled ‘Si’, the concert is based on the Shahnameh stories, including ‘Rostam and Esfandyar’, ‘Zal and Rudabeh’ and ‘Rostam and Sohrab’, by globally known Persian poet Ferdowsi.

Completed in 1010, the ‘Shahnameh’ is an epic Persian poem of nearly 60,000 verses by great Iranian literary master Ferdowsi.
